Organizing conversations and signing up new hires

Coming out of this health crisis of Covid 19 and with un presented amounts of federal and state dollars coming to our districts. Having good organizing conversations with our co workers and signing up new hires into our unions has never been more Important. This summer is the perfect time to train on rocking back to school, reaching out to new hires, and signing up new union members. In this training we will discuss the new implications of ground breaking pro-union legislation passed in Massachusetts and how it gives us space and rights to organize with our co-workers. Our local unions fought so hard for safe schools and for the funding to reach out districts. Now it is up to us as local union members to tell that story to new hires and ask them to join with us and our unions going forward. We can do that best through 1 on 1 conversations and empowering our building reps at the school and library level.
