This month Ms. Nicole Vissers will be speaking about her path to pursuing a PhD in neuroscience. She will be discussing her research project, what PhD programs entail, and advice for potential applicants. Nearing the end, we will host a Q & A session where attendees will be able to ask Ms. Vissers questions and receive live responses.
Nicole is a first-year Neuroscience PhD student at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre, UCL, London. She has received her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Vrije University of Amsterdam. Nicole has a double master's degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences and Neuroscience from the University of Amsterdam and Vrije University of Amsterdam. While earning these degrees, she has had the opportunity to have worked in various labs in the Netherlands where she worked with a variety of techniques, such as DREADDs and in vivo GRIN lens 2 photon.
