Dealing with Depression

Lara Stepleman, PhD, is the Chief of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She is a health psychologist who has focused her clinical work, teaching, and research on assisting others to live well with chronic illness, particularly HIV and Multiple Sclerosis. She is especially interested in access to competent mental health care for individuals living with chronic illness who may have additional barriers to care and health disparities related to sexual orientation and gender identity as well as race and ethnicity. She has collaborated with the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation since 2005.
