Equity in Volunteering
A feature of volunteerism is that it brings people together across social divides. Those exceptional opportunities also expose social inequity. How can volunteering work against it? We invite agency leaders, volunteer managers and volunteers to address this complex, thorny issue together. After hearing from our panelists, we will discuss how we can advance equity in volunteer recruitment, training and interaction with program clients. All participants will be invited to collaborate further in 2021 on a citywide “road map” towards equity in volunteering. Moderator: Maritza Grooms, CCTV
