Except for Palestine with Mitchell Plitnick
Being progessive, except for the issue of Palestinian rights, is a phenomenon within the progressive community. Among liberals, Democrats, progressives, and others, it is not uncommon for many to take progressive positions on climate change, health care, taxation, criminal justice reform, and more, while being unwilling to challenge the US support of the Israeli occupation of Palestinians.

Why are so many progressives unwilling to challenge US support of the Israeli occupation? This topic is explored in the new book, Except for Palestine: The Limits of Progressive Politics by Marc Lamont Hill and Mitchell Plitnick. Mitchell Plitnick joins us on March 29th at 7pm to discuss his new book. Mitchell was previously co-director of Jewish Voice for Peace, director of the US office of B'Tselem, and is the current president of ReThinking Foreign Policy. Co-author Marc Lamont Hill is a professor and political commentator who was fired from CNN for his advocacy of Palestinian rights.

Join us on March 29th, for a conversation with Mitchell Plitnick to explore the limits of progressive politics in regards to Palestinian rights. The book also explores the conflation of criticism of the Israeli occupation with anti-seminitism (a common tactic used to deflect from criticism of the occupation).
