Want to learn how to crochet using a hook and your hands? Join us for an eight week session this Fall, that will encompass 4 weeks of regular crochet and 4 weeks of finger crochet! This course will cover the basics of both techniques. The first four weeks, the instructor will go over crochet language and show you how to decipher symbols on a pattern that is used in everyday crochet work. Different stitches each week will be demonstrated while you create small pieces so that you can build up your own library of techniques before learning how to stitch forms together. The second four weeks of class, the instructor will show you two different ways of finger crocheting, one using regular yarn and one using loop yarn. In one class you will use regular yarn and the rest of the time loop yarn will be used. This course is for beginners who have never crocheted before and for the novice who wants to gain more information on crocheting.
Please arrive on time to class.
This class is live and interactive.
Recordings will not be shared.

5, 5.5, 6 mm hook ( your choice) the smaller the hook, the smaller the stitch. Instructor will be using 6mm hook.
Yarn (your choice of color) stay away from the fuzzy, feathery, textural skeins of yarn. You can use the same colored yarn for all the projects in the first week or you can purchase more than one color so you can see the difference in the stitches. The loop yarn, physically has loops that are formed for you to finger crochet with, this is a must.
A good beginning yarn is smooth and made of acrylic, cotton or wool. Look for a worsted weight yarn #4. Choose a light color rather than a dark, it is easier to see your stitches.
