Whilst there has been some focus on gender differences when dealing with mental health issues (men’s clubs, a focus on male suicide rates, discussions about the menopause), we are sometimes reluctant to differentiate in our communications about the general differences between men and women’s coping mechanisms when we look at stress, anxiety and mental health.
Whilst we understand that everyone is different and deals in their own way with life events, we still deal with endemic societal structural issues, and biology which can have huge, often unacknowledged impacts.
In this webinar we will discuss:
- The different mental ill health outcomes among men and women and different drivers of those (societal/biological)
- How in general terms men and women tackle stress differently
- Different signs of mental distress which may occur
- Different language which works better with different genders/age groups
