1 in 10 youths are unemployed worldwide1. In order to address this challenge, Aflatoun and its partners provide social and financial skills to children and youth worldwide. Ahead of World Youth Skills Day on July 15, 2021, together with the education technology nonprofit Solve Education!, we are organising a webinar that gathers partners, governments, NGOs, funders, education experts to discuss youth employability, the digitisation of employability skills and the importance of skill-building for youth empowerment.
Recently, aiming to diversify the availability of our curriculum, Aflatoun International partnered with Solve Education to launch the ‘Employability Module’ on the gaming platform ‘Dawn of Civilisation’. The module aims to engage users in employment-related soft skills activities in the form of minigames. The purpose of the launch is to inform people about the employability module, draw attention to youth unemployment issues, and share skills that the youth are lacking (employability soft skills, literacy, access to better employment, and better pay).
During this webinar we will also announce the global launch of the employability module together with Solve Education!
