Climate Action Q&A Surgery: Role of SMEs
Our Q&A surgeries are designed to offer climate/sustainability professionals a forum to engage with leaders and experts on climate-related topics through a questions and answers format.

For this session, we will be engaging in a conversation on climate action for SMEs. SMEs make up around 90% of businesses and also feature heavily in larger companies' supply chains. Meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement and achieving net zero economies will require huge transformation across the private sector, and will involve SMEs to commit to and deliver carbon emissions reductions.

Join this session to discuss the role of SMEs in delivering a net zero economy, support available for SMEs, and the specific challenges faced by SMEs in taking climate action and how to overcome these.

This session is recommended for UK SMEs and businesses working with SMEs that are looking to learn and who are seeking support on climate-related practices and challenges.

- Catherine Westoby - Senior Policy Advisor - Public Engagement and Behaviour Change on Net Zero at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

The format will be a moderated discussion between the experts and audience. To submit a question to our experts, please complete the form below. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions via the chat function on the day.
