The topic for the June Coffee Talk is, "Effective Storytelling That Motivates Giving." Leading our talk from the Foundations of Hawaii Pacific Health are Liz Chun-Uyehara, Director of Communications and Colette Forcier, CFRE, Director of Kapi‘olani Children’s Miracle Network. Colette is also an AFP Aloha Chapter board member.
Storytelling is the most powerful tool we have as fundraisers. Strategic and skilled storytelling evokes emotion, elevates your mission and motivates people to act and give.
Looking for tips on taking the stories you have from good to great? Spinning your wheels trying to identify more stories and produce varied content? We will share our storytelling road map from discovery to content creation.
In this session, you will learn how to elevate your storytelling beyond the basics, as well as, how to get the most mileage from your stories. The session will also include time for all of your storytelling for nonprofits related questions. Or if you'd like to pre-submit questions, you may send them to Colette Forcier at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Coffee Talk attendees will also get a chance to win a $10 Starbucks gift card...because what's a Coffee Talk without a little free coffee?
By registering for this event, you will also be included in our email list (if you are not already on it), so that you may be informed about our upcoming events.
Lastly, we’re excited to announce that we just launched our new online donation platform to support the AFP Aloha Chapter! Although we’re a volunteer-driven organization, we rely on community support to organize our trainings, like this free monthly Coffee Talk program. Your tax-deductible gift will help to continue these invaluable opportunities! Please go to www.afphawaii.org for the online link. Mahalo for your kind support!
