Speaker Bio:
Megan Vixie (she/her/hers), MPA, CVA, PHR, SHRM-CP
Megan is the Chief Engagement Officer for Beach Cities Health District (BCHD), one of the largest preventive health agencies in the nation. She is responsible for developing and executing Human Resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the District, including the areas of organizational and systems alignment, workforce planning, organizational development, compensation and benefits, etc. Megan has a Masters in Public Administration and completed her Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resources Professionals-Certified Professional certifications. She has served on the board of directors for Directors of Volunteers in Agencies- Los Angeles (DOVIA-LA) and is currently the President of the Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE). Megan’s purpose in both life and career is to ignite the flames for others to achieve what they thought may not be possible. She is particularly passionate about mobilizing women upwards in their chosen professions without having to sacrifice personal or family goals to achieve career success.
