ACLA Talent Bank - Library Boards and Committees

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to serve on a library board or committee? If so, this session is for you. The Allegheny County Library Association is looking for people from all over Allegheny County who might be interested in supporting your local library in this way. Join Marilyn Jenkins, Executive Director of ACLA, and Michael Kumer, CEO of Boards Made to Order, for a brief informational session that will introduce you to some of the basic expectations of board and committee members. Bring your own questions, too. We hope you will then be willing to sign up for the ACLA Talent Bank and find an opportunity to serve.

Michael Kumer is the founder and CEO of Boards Made to Order, a boutique consulting practice that enables nonprofit boards - and nonprofit board members - to make a difference, leave a legacy, and change the world. Michael previously served as the Executive Director of Duquesne University’s Nonprofit Leadership Institute (NLI), and Associate Dean of the University’s School of Leadership and Professional Advancement. He also served as the Program Director, Community Leadership Concentration, for Duquesne’s Master of Science in Leadership degree program.
