EU ABS Networking Event on Monday 14 June 2021, 2-4:00 p.m. CEST
On Monday, June 14, 2021 from 2-4:00 p.m. CEST, the Leibniz Institute DSMZ/German Nagoya Protocol HuB will be hosting an online EU ABS Networking Event organized together with the European Marine Biological Resource Centre (EMBRC), the Union for Ethical BioTrade, ABS-int, the Dutch ABS National Focal Point (hosted by Wageningen University and Research) and the Natural History Museum London.

Why? Since 2014, actors across the European Union have been hard at work figuring out how best to support users of genetic resources in their respective sectors or regions with access and benefit-sharing (ABS) and compliance requirements. We would like to take a step back and ask “What has been done? Is it working? What still needs to be done?”

You can check out the agenda here: https://www.nagoyaprotocol-hub.de/wp-content/uploads/2021/05/EU-ABS-Networking-Event-Agenda-1.pdf

This online event will bring different actors from across the EU together to reflect on “capacity building for users” — gaps and ways forward into the future.

We look forward to seeing you there! Please share this email widely within your networks!
