Designing an Inclusive Distance Learning Plan
The global pandemic is causing stress and uncertainty for so many people. This makes it challenging for anyone to apply their best judgement. This is especially true for educators planning a distance learning program while managing their personal needs during such a stressful time. In this webinar, the South County SELPA explores how we might empower ourselves to make inclusive education the center of our distance learning planning. During our discussion, we’ll learn how to:

• Reimagine distance learning planning with a focus on equity
• Adapt human-centered design techniques like empathy interviews and prototyping for high stress situations
• Build awareness of a population's individual needs
• Empower staff to take action with low-tech and high-tech tools
• Scale the plan with a support network that sustains our efforts
• Use a checklist as a powerful tool to combat biases
