Shared Roots, Divergent Paths
Our acclaimed Shared Roots, Divergent Paths program with Iona College , "Antisemitism: The Pandemic that Persists" will feature Holly Hufnagle, AJC U.S. Director for Combatting Antisemitism and Rev. Dr. John Pawlikowski, Professor Emeritus of Social Ethics at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.

Antisemitic hate crimes rose by 14% in 2019 according to the FBI. The insurrection at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 put vile antisemitic and racist images on full display, shaking many Americans to their core. Join us for a discussion about resurgent antisemitism, its deep roots in human history, and its contemporary forms.  Our experts will share their insights on the recent AJC landmark study The State of Antisemitism in America, field questions ranging from the different forms of antisemitism to the role of social media in fomenting hate, and consider the best methods for confronting antisemitism today.
