Continuing our discussion from the 10/21 and 11/11 meetings. Anyone is welcome to join, even if you haven't read the book or didn't make it to the previous meetings.
Please join the Plano ISD Council of PTA's for a book discussion on Wednesday evening, January 20th from 6-8pm. Our Healthy Lifestyles Chair will lead a discussion on the book, "Permission to Feel: Unlocking the Power of Emotions to Help Our Kids, Ourselves, and Our Society Thrive" by Marc Brackett, Ph.D.
"Permission to Feel" is acclaimed for helping people learn to identify their emotions and discovering how to manage them. The hope is that through reflection and discussion, we as Plano ISD parents, can share what we learned in reading the book. There may be things we want to change or work on in our daily lives. If you're unable to obtain a copy, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll see what we can do to help you get a copy.
Marc Brackett, Ph.D., is the Founder and Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and a Professor in the Child Study Center of Yale University.
