There are thousands of records, hundreds of research websites and dozens of Facebook groups all at your figure tips without the need to ever get dressed! Genealogy today requires using a computer to conduct research into your family. This 4 part series will provide information on how to get started, where to look and how to preserve your research for future descendants. Experienced and professional genealogist Judi Missel will offer guidance and expertise on how to search your family from the comforts of your own home.
Judi Gyory Missel, a member of the Phoenix Jewish Genealogy Group and the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies, has been fascinated by genealogy for over 30 years. She continues to make new discoveries about her family using DNA and endless hours on her computer. Being the first of her family born in America and the child of Holocaust survivors, history and family have always been important. Professionally, Judi has researched and published genealogy reports for a range of Jewish and non-Jewish clients from Mayflower families, Scottish clans, to Native Americans. She offers presentations on basic Jewish Genealogy, starting on researching one's own family history, Hungarian research, and Holocaust resources to a variety of audiences.
