How Business Engagement Informs IT Guided Pathways
Technology and skills requirements shift, right? Yes, but many IT skills already taught in the CCCs are fundamental and provide superior value to our students due to availability, transferability and linkage to the most in-demand industry certifications. In this webinar we look at the approved IT Model Curriculum and the modified quick start ‘bootstrap’ version, the IT Technician Pathway and discuss continued relevance in today's job marketplace.

Richard Grotegut, Bay ICT Regional Director of Industry Engagement will provide an update on the IT Model Curriculum and explain its adaptability for both Cybersecurity and Cloud technologies.

We will also review business input into the IT Technician Pathway and how the Retail and Customer Service training in the first step create a better ‘bootstrap’ pathway for the entry-level student who must work soon.

Both will emphasize the value of a C-ID course selection and the potential for articulation with private 4-year degree programs (National University, Western Governors and Southern New Hampshire) as well and prospective CSUs.
