Livestream- A Just Transition for Philanthropy: Regenerative relationships between grantees & funders
If a Just Transition for philanthropy means shifting philanthropic practices away from extraction and towards regeneration, what do regenerative relationships look like within a funder/grantee power dynamic?

As a follow up to State of the Movement 2019 and the launch of “Resonance: A Framework for Philanthropic Transformation”, Justice Funders, Solidaire Network and Thousand Currents are excited to co-host a gathering of our Bay Area philanthropic & movement community to dig deeper into grantmaking practices that accelerate a Just Transition for philanthropy.

In a series of paired conversations between social justice leaders and funders, we’ll explore how foundations can recognize extractive practices, overcome power dynamics, and build trusting & authentic relationships that support community self-determination and honor community expertise.

You are registering for a live stream of an in-person event taking place in Oakland, CA. The live stream is scheduled for 1:00-3:00pm PT.
