He has extensive experience implementing digital health technologies and evaluating medical devices in low-resource settings, including in situ testing of low-cost neonatal medical monitors in East Africa for accuracy and usability. Jesse currently oversees the health tech investment portfolio at Vancouver's DIGITAL Global Innovation Cluster. Speaker#2 Reed De Winter The topic of your presentation: Human Factors in product development Speaker's bio: Reed DeWinter is an award-winning industrial designer with 20 years experience researching and developing products for all facets of the human body. He worked for a series of consultancies before co-founding Humanfactors Design Works in 2003. As head of product development, he has helped bring user-centric products to market and developed intellectual property for 2-person startups, research institutions, and multi-national firms, including Kohler, Sunbeam, MTV, Stryker Orthopaedics, Philips, Unilever, Paul Regan Architects, Avon Protection Systems, Okapi Medical, Perkin Elmer, and Becton Dickinson.
