Cancelled - Education Legislation: Rural Impact
Thank you for your interest. Out of respect for those who wish to participate in the education events taking place in Salem on May 8, RDI made the decision to cancel this webinar. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Lawmakers are considering a raft of revenue measures for public education, but what exactly does it all mean for Oregon’s rural communities?

With the 2019 Oregon Legislative session entering its last weeks, there's a bevy of education bills before lawmakers. As a day of public action in Salem approaches, the legislature is on the brink of investing $2 billion in extra revenue each biennium, categorically the largest education funding investment in the state’s history.

Please join us for a discussion, facilitated by RDI board member Taylor Sarman, with frontline experts on public education funding.

Speakers include Representative David Brock Smith (R-Port Orford) and Scott Rogers, Vice President, Oregon School Boards Association; Chair, Athena-Weston School Board.
