It isn’t too late to join the Wallace Center’s team and thousands of other food systems leaders across the US for the 5th annual 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge, coordinated by our good friends over at Food Solutions New England! From April 1-21, this self-guided learning journey will examine the history and impacts of racism, different kinds of racism, and how it is connected to our food system, and will also provide tools and examples on how to undo racism and build racial equity and justice through your food systems work. We cannot say enough good things about this habit-building challenge and really encourage you to sign up! Register for the challenge here (link provided).
This year, we’re honored and excited to offer participating FSLN members an opportunity to chat directly with one of the lead facilitators of the challenge, Karen Spiller, during April’s FSLN Coffee Chat on Wednesday, April 17th from 3-3:45pm. This will be a great chance to discuss what we’re learning, ask any questions that came up for you during the challenge, and share ideas and next steps with each other. Karen is an amazing resource and this coffee chat provides a great way to connect with her and be inspired by her wisdom and passion for racial equity. Participation is limited to 40 people so sign up today!
